Blue Cross launches Christmas Campaign to help abandoned animals

5 December 2009 No Comment

The Blue Cross has launched its Christmas campaign to help abandoned and homeless animals. Every year, the Blue Cross is called upon to help even more animals, and with animal shelters already full, this Christmas looks like being their busiest yet.

That’s why we’re supporting the Blue Cross in their Christmas campaign. You don’t have to give anything – just register your support here and if you do want to give – that’s up to you. Every penny goes towards helping animals that have been abandoned and left homeless by some of the cruellest owners in Britain.

The Blue Cross aims to:

  • ensure the welfare of animals by providing practical care
  • highlight the benefits of companionship between animals and people
  • promote a sense of respect and responsibility towards animals in the community.

They provide support to the nation’s pets and their owners by:

  • Treating pets whose owners cannot afford private veterinary treatment
  • Finding permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned animals
  • Educating the public in responsible animal ownership
