The Mental Health Foundation is abusing statistics , its bundling together people with serious MH issues with people who get a bit low for a short period of time in their life. 1 in 4 people do not have serious MH issues requiring hospitalisation or a high degree of care and support. These are the people charities should help instead we have mental health charities like the Mental Health Foundation abusing statistics to push Government policy.

That is not a charitable aim.

The Mental Health Foundation is also misleading people about its website , on average it gets no more traffic than Mind or Rethink , a quick comparison via Alexa will confirm this, and the Mental Health Foundations website's bounce rate is over 60% , meaning most of the traffic that ends up does so accidentally and quickly enters and exits on the same page . Beyond that Mind has more reach than the Mental Health Foundation's website, again this is confirmed by Alexa.

Nor is the Mental Health Foundations website the most comprehensive mental health website in Europe , it has no user base whatsoever and if charitable donations are being sought people should donate to charities working hands on with people not one that is using donations to house its staff in a plush Thameside suite of offices in Central London - hardly the most effient use of charitable funds - and pushing Government policy.

This is fair comment .
